About Navagraha Shanti
Navagraha Shanti is a pooja and homa to the nine grahas (planets). Families do it at the start of a difficult dasha, before a big event, or when the Kundali suggests a parihara. It is a traditional practice for peace of mind, not a guarantee of any result. It usually takes 2–3 hours with 2 priests.
The pooja, step by step
- Ganapati pooja and sankalpa
- Navagraha pooja and homa
- Aarti and prasadam
When your chart suggests it
Your Kundali in the My Shrine app suggests Navagraha Shanti at the start of every dasha, during Sade Sati, when Shani is in the 8th or 5th house from your Moon sign, when Guru is not favourable, and in the months before a dasha changes. It shows each of these with its dates.
