About the Chota Char Dham Yatra
The Chota Char Dham are the four Himalayan shrines of Uttarakhand: Yamunotri, the source of the Yamuna; Gangotri, of the Ganga; Kedarnath, Shiva’s Jyotirlinga; and Badrinath, the home of Vishnu as Badri Narayan. Pilgrims visit them from west to east, in that order.
The shrines are high in the mountains, more than 3,000 metres up, and open only from about Akshaya Tritiya in April or May until around Diwali. Yamunotri and Kedarnath are reached on foot or by pony, so the yatra asks for some fitness and time.
The My Shrine team is planning this yatra from Haridwar with custom dates from Haridwar. Hotels, vegetarian meals, pickup and drop at Haridwar and a coordinator are included. Choose your preferred start date and tap “I’m interested” to discuss your itinerary.
Is this the yatra for you now?
Your Kundali in the My Shrine app suggests the Jyotirlingas of Shiva during Surya dasha, and Kedarnath is one of them. It suggests the Divya Desams of Vishnu during Guru or Budha dasha, and Badrinath is one of them.
